RAISE Parents with Disability Support

Practical support for parents with disability navigating child protection

The RAISE program offers support for parents with disability who are involved with, or at risk of involvement with, the child protection system.

We provide practical, respectful and accessible support to help parents understand what is happening, prepare for meetings, build confidence, and work towards family safety, stability and connection.

WHAT IT COVERS

We understand that parents with disability can face extra barriers when navigating services, meetings, assessments and child protection processes. The RAISE support team works alongside parents to make information clearer, support communication, and help parents identify the steps they can take to strengthen their family situation.

ABOUT

Parents with Disability RAISE

Our approach is practical, strengths-based and focused on dignity, inclusion and family connection. Parents with disability are often required to navigate complex systems while also managing access barriers, communication challenges and assumptions about parenting capacity.

RAISE provides a complementary support pathway that helps parents engage earlier, understand expectations, and take practical steps that support safety, stability and connection. The program strengthens parent engagement, supports clearer communication with services, and helps reduce barriers that may otherwise contribute to escalation.
