Reily Experience Insight Network

Lived experience advisory & co-design

The Reily Experience Insight Network (REIN) connects organisations with parents who have lived experience of the child protection system to inform policy, research, service design and system reform.

REIN provides a structured, ethical and supported approach to engaging lived experience voices, ensuring parents can contribute safely, meaningfully and with impact.

What is REIN

REIN (Reily Lived Experience & Insight Network) is a lived experience network, bringing together parents and carers with lived experience of the child protection system to inform service improvement and system reform.

Why lived experience matters

Parents who have navigated the child protection system bring insights that cannot be found in reports, policies or data alone.

Their experiences help organisations understand how services are experienced in practice, identify barriers, test new ideas and improve the way support is delivered to families.

Meaningful lived experience engagement helps ensure policies, programs and services are informed by the people they are intended to support.

REIN provides a practical pathway for organisations to access these insights while ensuring participation is supported, ethical and trauma-aware.
