The Reily Foundation
The Direct Experience Group bringing forward positive change in the Child Protection and Family Support system.
Established by the Minister for Child Protection, the Honorable Katrine Hildyarde MP, the Direct Experience Groups is providing a voice for people with lived experience of the SA child protection system in system improvement.
Drawing on firsthand knowledge, the group will shape policy reform, drive practice development and inform systemic transformation. The Reily Foundation partners with Life Without Barriers and DS Consulting in supporting group members and group functions.

With a difficult direct experience, I now feel responsible for using my voice to speak up and identify issues that have contributed to previous intergenerational and structural harm. I’m thankful for the opportunity to contribute to a working group that can remind others, including policymakers, that hope is powerful and change is possible.
